the Philippines-LEGO bricks version

the Philippines in full view
I first read about this on Ourawesome Planet's site. I wasted no time to visit this exquisite exhibit of the different landmarks/festivals found all over the Philippines at the SM Mall of Asia. After all, you don't see this kind of creations everyday.

As an only child, my son grew up playing with these bricks by his lonesome even for a long period. The activity was like my instant baby sitter at that time. :D Yes, much better than leaving him in front of the TV.

my son, about 9 yrs. old

His love for Lego never waned. He's a teenager now and collects these keychains....

He was definitely thrilled when I showed it to him online. He knew that it requires a lot of  time, artistry and resourcefulness to come up with such ambitious production.

I'm letting the photos speak now(click for better resolution)...

Basco, Batanes

Ilocos region

El Nido/Underground River, Palawan

Kadayawan festival
Bohol, Cebu and Leyte
Davao's pride
sitankai houses of Tawi-Tawi
Vintas of Zamboanga

Moriones festival, Marinduque/Maskara Festival, Bacolod/Ifugao headress

Exhibit is ongoing till the 27th, Saturday. Don't miss this "wow, Philippines" event all in LEGO!

Sayang, ngayon ko lang nalaman may ganito pala sa MOA. :( Thank you very much for posting pictures. At least kahit papano I got to see the lego bricks version of the Philippines. As a child, I had a lego collection and it's nice to see that it is being used to promote our country and its tourist spots.

Take care! Got your blog link from Pex. :)
